At dinner last night, the following conversation took place at our table:
Parker: Is that lady who sings really named Lady GaGa?
Brandon: No, is your name really Lizzy Lu?
Parker: no, it's Parker Elizabeth
Brandon: What is Lizzy Lu? A what?
Parker stared at him
Brandon: It's a nick name like Mommy's name is not really Fred*, does she look like a Fred?
Parker: (laughing) she looks like a Mommy who does a lot of laundry
*My husband rarely calls me Kelly unless he mad at me or we are with other people. He has an assorted list of pet names but the one that has stuck around the longest is Fred (Freddy). It started many years ago when I used to ask him "Ready to go Joe?" and he would respond "Ready Freddy" So now you know.
What unusual nick names do you have?

I have a bunch of nicknames, but what's funny is that I've noticed anyone who went to high school with me or knows me from home calls me "Hill" without thinking a think about it- or other names that we won't publish. Not bad, but just not worthy of being in print ANYWHERE. :)
Most girls from my sorority still call me Hill, but anyone I have known after that calls me by my full name. It's a true test of how long we've known each other!!
And my former asst. at work was also nicknamed Fred- but I don't know how she got it! LOVE it!!
Lady GaGa... I can do without. :)
